This was my first time having any aesthetic work , also i may add I'm needle phobic. Rachel is so professional and in my first consultation immediately put me at ease. We discussed what area's of my face I would like to improve and Rachel informed me of the various procedures she could do and what results i could expect from them. My main concern had been recent weightloss that had left my face looking gaunt and sad and quite frankly older than my years. I have also hated my whole life the lack of symmetry and fullness in my lips. We agreed on a course of treatments and well I think the before and after photos speak for themselves. I have been seeing Rachel for the past 6 months. We had a consultation about what my skin concerns were. I have struggled with adult acne for the past 9 years which left me with pot scars and hyperpigmentation, and feeling self conscious about my skin. Rachel explained to me that she believed micro needling would help and explained that it would create controlled trauma to my skin and encourage collagen production for it to repair itself. She was realistic with me when explaining that the results I wanted could take 12 months. I went away and explained that I was thinking about trying micro needling with my dermotologist who had no objections to trying the treatment along side the topical treatments I am using. I went back to Rachel and before starting she talked me through again what would happen and answered questions that I had. During the treatment she was tentative and checking if I was ok and comfortable. After she explained the aftercare and what to expect over the following days. I have had 3 micro needling sessions so far and would not say they are painful, it’s just a strange sensation and can be slightly uncomfortable in sensitive areas but is over quickly. Rachel also recommended that retinol peels would work perfectly with the micro needling in improving my skin texture and concerns. Yesterday I had my 3rd retinol peel and during my appointment we looked at the progress of my skin. Large pores have reduced, skin texture has improved, pot marks were less noticeable, hyperpigmentation was fading. I’m super happy with the results so far and can’t wait to start another round of micro needling in the coming months. My skin is looking amazing and in turn it’s made me feel less self conscious and confident in going places make up free. Rachel is extremely passionate about what she does. She is constantly learning to improve herself not just for her but to help others feel and look there absolute best.
